Mullions are the partial divisions that are added as an extra surface to hinge a door from whenever there is not a carcass end or full division to attach the door to.

    Configuring Mullions

In most cases, mullions are added automatically to the cabinet where applicable. The default size and machining options for the mullions can be adjusted from the drawing properties.

    Mullion Size

The default width of the mullion is set in the Construction Standard → Ends page of the Drawing Properties, in the Mullions groupbox as shown below:

Most cabinets also have the ability to override the mullion depth. For example, the Floor Standard cabinet can do this on its Labour & Construction → Construction page:

     Mullion Machining Options

The Mach. Shelf/Mullion -> Mullions page of the Drawing Properties contains various options for adjusting how the mullions are machined and positioned.

     Construction

    Add Holes

Enables construction holes for the mullions in the top/bottom of the cabinet.

    Qty

Sets the number of construction holes used when Add Holes is enabled.

    Dist. from Mullion Ends

Sets the distance to the construction holes from each end of the mullion when Add Holes is enabled.
     Shelf Holes

    Add Adjustable Holes

Adds adjustable shelf holes to the mullion when it intersects with an adjustable shelf.

    From Back of Mullion

Sets the distance to the adjustable shelf holes from the back edge of the mullion.
     Shelf/Mullion Cutouts

When Shelves and Mullions Overlap then Cutout

Sets which part will receive a cutout when a shelf and mullion would otherwise collide.

    Additional Depth of shelf cutouts

Sets the amount of extra clearance added to the depth of the shelf cutout when a mullion and shelf are overlapping.

    Additional Width of shelf cutouts

Sets the amount of extra clearance added to the width of the shelf cutout when a mullion and shelf are overlapping.
     Shelf/Mullion (or Division) Cutouts

Notch out rounded corner of Mullion/Division cutout

Adds a notch to the cutout at the top of the mullion or division when it overlaps with the top rail of a cabinet to accommodate the radius of the tool
     Mullion Position

Single Mullion Position flush with hinged door plus

Sets the distance between the edge of the mullion and the edge of the door that is hinged from it when using a single mullion.

Double Mullion Position flush with hinged door plus

Sets the distance between the edge of the mullion and the edge of the door that is hinged from it when using a double mullion.
     Double Mullions

Most cabinets that are able to add mullions also have the option to enable Double Mullions.

This adds a second mullion next to the original mullion to provide extra stability and prevents the need for shelf or hinge holes to drill all the way through the mullion.

In most cabinets, this option can be found in Labour & Construction → Construction, or in certain cabinets that have manual controls over the mullions, the double mullion checkbox will be next to the relevant option for adding the mullions.
